Travelling with kids doesn't have to feel chaotic.

Long waits, busy places and sudden changes of plan are hard on little kids. The Kidera Travel Play Kit gives them something to do with their hands, and it usually buys you a good stretch of the flight, the cafe breakfast or the drive.

They draw, wipe it clean and start again. Copy what I draw, hand tracing, Pictionary, noughts and crosses.

Water magic colouring
Just add water to the pen. Colours appear as they paint, then fade so they can do it again. No mess to wipe up.

Reusable sticker book
They build a scene, then peel it all off and start over. Sort the stickers, or play shopping list with the whiteboard.

DESIGNED, NOT ASSEMBLED

Every detail is there for a reason

Brittany spent a lot of hours entertaining kids in small seats before this bag existed. It shows in the small things.

The Kidera Travel Play Kit hooked onto the back of an aeroplane seat, hanging open with its mesh pockets on show
Hanging hook
Hooks over the tray-table latch or a car seat back, so play happens at eye level and not on the floor.
Fold-out design
Four pockets unfold in one motion. Nothing to unpack, nothing balanced on your knees.
Sensory panels built in
Sewn into the bag itself, so the calm option can't be dropped or left at home. Good for touching and exploring, and a ready base for pretend play.
Loop zips for little hands
Chunky pull loops a three year old can open and close on their own.
See-through mesh pockets
They can choose for themselves, and you can see if anything is missing before you leave the house.
A clickable whiteboard marker
Not just any marker. It clicks, so there is no lid to lose down the side of a seat.
Room for snacks and comfort items
Space left over for a snack, a dummy or the small toy that has to come everywhere.
Easy-clean material
Wipe-clean fabric that copes with juice, crumbs and airport floors.

MADE TO LAST
Brittany, Kidera's founder and paediatric occupational therapist
FROM BRITTANY, IN PERTH

I've spent three years telling you which toys are worth your money. Somewhere along the way I became the entertainer in every cafe and restaurant we sat down in. When I looked at what you could actually buy for that, I couldn't find the kit I wanted, so I decided to make it.

I chose every piece myself and tested them with real 3 to 6 year olds, in real cafes, real waiting rooms and on a real flight out of Perth. If something didn't hold their attention, it didn't make the bag.

Questions parents ask

Won't they be through it in 20 minutes?
That is the thing it is built against. Eight activities and 40+ ways to use them, and they combine, so kids come back around to them instead of finishing them.
Couldn't I put this together myself?
You could. It would take hours, several shops, and some guessing about what still holds attention past ten minutes. This is that work already done, by someone who does it for a living.
It won't beat the iPad.
It isn't trying to. Screens have their place, and on a long flight they are often the sensible call. This is what you reach for first, and it usually buys you a good stretch before you need one.
Will it suit my autistic or ADHD child?
It may well suit them. There are sensory panels built into the bag. The magnetic cubes work as a fidget, as something to shake and listen to, or as building blocks. The compartments, the multiple ideas and the number of activities are all designed around novelty and keeping things interesting. You know your child best, so we would recommend deciding from there.
What age exactly?
Three to six. If your child is nearly three, wait: the kit has small parts and small magnets and is not suitable under three.
When does it ship?
The first batch lands late 2026.
